nice object. the two scorpions mentioned by Ait Ouakli, are these the figures on the pendant's top in the middle? If it was not said, I would never have seen them as scorpions, but knowing, I can well identify them! Like it!
My understanding is that this is a "Gates of Paradise" pendant and they are 2 scorpions guarding the gates against those not destined to enter.

This type of Pendant is from the Todhra region of Morocco, often called the portal pendant strong saharan themes in the decor here are interesting.
