Iranian Kurdish Head Ornament

This is a forehead or turban ornament, likely from Iranian Kurdistan. With a band of interlocking flattened links, from which are suspended many coins. The coins are 1950s Iranian 1 Rials. Jean-Marie has recently posted a photo of a woman modeling a similar ornament strung across a turban.Dimensions:101 grams36 cm long
