  Hi Leonor. I agree the hook probably indicates they are pendants to wear on head-coverings and the filigree sun-like shape is a common shape for northern Afghanistan. Not sure that they are Hazara....though they may have passed through Hazara hands. The granulation at the centre of the pendant suggests Tadjik or even Kazakh to me....more likely Tadjik up in the north. Others may have other opinions.

  What about this one? Do you think it's also Hazara? I was told it's worn on the hair.

  What a lovely little bird. I'm assuming that the decoration is niello. Apparently, according to Janata, a place called Jaguri (possibly in Baluchistan?) was a centre for producing niello pieces. It was also a place where there was a large Hazara community. So it looks as if this could be a Hazara bird. And birds were worn as parts of hair decorations... hair clips etc.. So perhaps this one should be attached to something else ... or worn with something else.
