I never saw this posted , it's a very nice old one . is it yours?
yes- i bought it from someone in an antique market who thought it was a bit of bishops regalia, but i later identified it in Gerlach's book as a jewish bridal headdress from Sale.
the jewels are glass and the metal is gilded but the background is covered in quantities of tiny natural seed pearls probably from the gulf- i have been offered quite a high figure for it but so far havent considered selling...
They seem to be quite valuable in Morocco but clients here like them and will pay fairly good prices.
