   Hi, I know these from India and even though they are similar, they are not quite the same. These the stripes are a bit thicker and less varied or finer. The surface is a bit different on these too. Mine seem almost like delicate delft china even though they are glass, more delicate and slightly see through. They are probably from the 30's 40's by the look of the piece and surface etc.

  Hi Stefany,

   I thought that these may be the type of bead you were referring to, I am familar with these, but also with the smaller better made milkier white glass and coloured striped bead which are used in the Guedra headdress.

  The two are distinctly differnt beads, the ones you show are I agree typical Indian production....... Of a brittle and uneven quality.

  Whereas the ones in the headdress are a different type, which I see regularly in Morocco, and of a differnet glass and stlye of manufacture all together. I shall try to locate a few loose ones on my next trip, and send some to you for your appraisal.

  yes, these are exactly what mine are only smaller. consisency of bead is like fine delft or glass. The Indian ones are rougher.

  Kakamba beads are Czech and moulded- the ones i see on the hair ornament are wound- not one of them shows a mould seam. a real close-up and end view of a bead would help.
