  • Betty, this  lovely jam dish with saucer was the work of the handicraft school, the silver jewelry department under supervision of an Armenian Supervisor and teacher, Nalbandian(if I remember correctly)  They had a one time exhibition of the whole school and  these were in the silver department, rather heavy and solid, the idea was to continue with the work I think it was in 1972-3.  In 1974 the revolution stuck up its head and this lovely work was stopped.  I suppose lack of silver.   Now on the next photo I do show the work of the son of this teacher who started out rather somewhat late in life to produce very skilled work, two items you can see .
