Huge Syrian Amulet Necklace

Here is a beautiful, very large, and very long necklace from Syria or Palestine. This is so long I believe it was worn draped from one shoulder to the opposite hip. The front side of the triangle amulet is worked in complicated filigree, the back side in a repousse design. More photos in the comments.

  • Dear Lynn; This is absolutely gorgeous - my compliments! I just love these long and mighty necklaces. With kind regards. Peter
  • I love this, Lynn. Reminds me of the large one-dimensional pendant I own (alas incomplete)and which most likely is from the same region. Your necklace gives me an impression what my piece might have looked like  when in was still intact :-))

    Congrats!

  • Thank you Peter and Betty.  Peter the descriptor "mighty" is a great one for these necklaces!!!  It's huge.  Betty would you remind me of the pendant that you own?  I would love to see it.

  • I just saw that I never posted it here,  Lynn...
