  • Very similar anklet to the pair which I have posted (readily found among my photo's here), ex Linda, and with their corals. As you say, Ayis: celluloid preceded bakelite - also in western jewellery. Today jewellery made of those materials has become very collectible in the West!
  • It is very interesting to see how jewelry adapated to variation of supply if different raw materials namely coral and how it eventually adopted newly discovered synthetically made celluloid and of course bakelite.

    I am just impressed with large jewelry and this anklet is definetaly very large
