    Thanx Hillary you have been of great help on that matter........ as time elapses and  i find myself more and more attracted to chinese silver.....techniques, materials and shapes are just mind blowing

    Margaret Duda's book, Four centuries of Chinese Silver, is an excellent book that isn't too expensive.  The workmanship of Chinese silver varies greatly.  I posted a really high quality lock not that long ago.  I'll try to find it for you.
