  • Looks old and fairly basically engraved. I have not seen this type of birds in Libyan silver. So this probably is distinctive for Tunisian motifs. the piece is engraved with very simple tools which may indicate that it is an old piece.  Good to have Najet.

  • I have seen a lot of Tunisian jewelry recently, but never birds like these although birds are very popular motif in their jewelry. I am going to post this on a facebook page which investigates the origins of jewelry and ask some opinions on it. Maybe we can find the exact origin.

  • What an interesting style of motif. Surely Picasso would have been proud of such.

  • Ok, now I see it is Tunisian, and really wonderful! Just very strange looking birds to me.
