  • Extraordinary -- I absolutely envy the beauty and variety of your collection! It is unparalleled.

  • Actually there are collections that have better things than this , like some I have sold too. By allowing me to keep some of this,  I have had to sell even more extroidinary items. The headdress I sold that was a larger better example to this hard stone headdress ,  came at the same time. To keep this, I either found same examples or did many sales of better things to allow me to keep some of the profit in goods. On every trip I would keep 1-3 pieces for myself out of all the many purchases. This is over 30 years of alot of selling to keep this, and even so in the last two years I have sold off about half of what I owned myself.

These are my personal choices as I use the things, but some that I sold were better or different examples that were in some cases superior or completely unique and never again seen. Some of these fall into that category like this headdress but some are just better examples that I chose as I saw so much when many were available as in the case of Indian silver. Most dealers buying have great collections based on what they put a way for a rainy day. I always purchased things that were better then average so they were always more expensive even if abundant. Since it seems like not much is available, they all look very good by comparison.  I don't buy much now even for business since I have not wanted to back track on quality. I have slid a bit only lately due to not having the same choices.  That's why I have started selling off my own things to make inventory from nothing. Another issue is that most clients I have sold too have so many items that is almost impossible now unless I start selling my own stuff to come up with things they don't have. Not many beginning collectors out there, if there are any , please contact me!!!
