Glass beads

Recently received by mail; 2 large glass beads, white with blue striping. Sizes between 25 mm and 30 mm. By the pitting they look to be ground dug. Can anyone help me with ideas for type and age?

  • Hi all. I've been able to find some more information on these. They are known as pelangi (or jatim) beads from Indonesia. I haven't been able to figure out though if these are reproductions or originals. The original ones date from about the 10th to the 14th century. If anyone has some information how to destinguish the originals from the reproductions, please let me knopw :)
