  • nice and interesting piece.difficult to say if it is petite kabylie or aures, i will tip more for chawi work but made in big city as batna, tebessa, sougahras . the circle with snake heads is kabyl. i have if you look at my fotos a bracelet looks semilar. the rest is for me more chawi.  there is some catalogues or books that write kabyl but i m still not 100 % sure about because, the villages and small cities at the edge of east kabylie wear a lot chawi jewelry as kabyl ones

    great purshassing

  • this fibula is symbol of womenpower and it is old sample with long background history.

near tanit, there is 3 more women power in northafrica and the amazigh women still keeping their legend a life.

the fibula with snake is the powerst symbol

  • What a lovely item! Very special.

  • Beautiful Ait! I especially enjoy the association with women power. Thank you for posting.

  • This is exquisite, Jose. How old do you think it is? Love the background. Is it a special kind of wrapping paper? Thanks to Ait for the information.

  • Thank you very much!. I am sure about age. Probably vintage rather than antique (unless it has been very well preserved ..).

  • I meant "not" sure ...
