A traditional festive ensemble (‘şalvar’/baggy trousers + ‘cepken’/long-sleeved vest) from the Muğla region. Late-Ottoman, urban style, circa 1925-1950. Adorned with goldwork embroidery (in ‘Maraş işi’-technique) on silk. (Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
