Lovely! one of my first necklaces from Ethiopie, long time ago ;)))
I really like those silver melon beads.
yes they are beautiful, i got this necklace since years, i payed it expensive but i liked it the second i saw it.
it is less known this kind of necklaces from ethiopia
the beads are all handmade, inside of them there is cut stone or wood and then covered with silver
I thought they are filled with wax? they were never very expensive!
Marie-ange ,there is with wax too. the one i have are different to each other inside. the ones in the end are only silver. i had few months ago one order from a costumer, i could not find for a good price at all.i asked my contacts in ethiopia but did not help me
Prices for ethnic jewelry have changed drastically in recent years.
yes anna i agree with you.
what was in kabylie for only 2 years 40 € is now 150 €
Yes I must agree with both of you, too bad as now only people with extra money can afford something nice.
Ait, a very similar one now on ebay (270933600813) -with an amber bead in the middle- described as from the Maghreb............What do you think?
