  Hi Stefany,

  I am aware that Linda is generously sharing photos of her past aquisitions with us. Many of these items are now sold, and Linda may not have all details such as measurements.

  I agree that sizes can be very helpful in Identifying pieces, but there is great value in the visual references of these piictures.

  These are still with me and not for sale and are my private collection.  I never really post sizes of items unless people ask  for sizes and they want to buy them because I myself am not thinking about sizes when I buy myself.  But on bracelets it is important for fit how ever in this case they are not closed in the back and as well rings.

  if details of these impressive adornments are being researched or compared that's when more exact information about dimensions, materials, techniques and condition are needed. There's so much to experience and learn!

  I used to teach enamelling and know how delicate or fragile the work can be so appreciating the scale and thickness of the metal is particularly important here.

   These cuffs are actually made with a few techniques. They are completey engraved out to have the thick enameled portion protrude in 3 dimension. Then the wires are inserted , cloisone, then there is gilding on the surface of the metal. I'll measure them for you and take a few more shots so you can see the details. I have a wonderful necklace done like this also but it's hard to see it in my over view photo.

  Again, I do think they are likely to be Uzbeki, yes. And unusual. Quite fine! (A bit worn??)

  I don't think you can be expected to produce sizes, really - the items are sold, and it is a great favour that you should show us so many in any case! Really by themselves a wonderful "collection", even if you don't own them (as well as when you do). And if the VERY BEST are not even shown then that just indicates how many great pieces you have had. What IS shown is however a wonderful abundance of excellent pieces!!

  these are mine still, when it says private it means me.  i don't have time to measure them though, that's the issue and I'm not used to buying that way myself so I don't think of putting it there. I only question bracelets size if for myself or for sale due to less petite clients at this stage of the game! For those who don't wear things it's doesn't make a difference really.

   I have several books that indicate that this style is actually Khirghiz yet the over lay of enameling is the issue. I have had plenty that are silver alone, and those are Khirghiz. That's why I'm unsure about this pair and it is for this reason that I have kept them. They are also very nice on !
