This is very interesting -- the very fine filigree work looks Jewish and the round balls look very Arabic. Must be a little mix of this and that -- is there a date estimation here?

I have no clue as to its age.... perhaps re-stringed but the patina of silver seems to be quite old.
This way of stringing is (my opinion) the original way. I have one that is made like the 2 of yours.

You're absolutely wright. By sayng re-stringed, I meant more recent than the silver... I have had others with the cotton-strap badly worn out (as opposed to this one and to yours)
