Nice item, I have a few of them which were given to me as presents by my Malian family. This one looks wearable (I have never used mine as bags so far, I put them on the walls as decoration. But perhaps using them is a good idea!)
These are the 2 I wear, the leather is nice and soft, I have also 2 for on the wall as they have very stiff leather and are not wearable.
The tassels remind me of the Tuareg tobacco pouches. The ones that often have green leather with them.
