    In Rajasthan , both men and women wear these silver amulets . Mainly depicting the monkey god Hanuman (for protection) and Laxmi ( goddess of wealth). Others are of minor village deities. The amulets usually contain sacred texts or dust from holy sites.

    And were baby's also wearing them???

    Yes Hindu babies and small children do wear them

    Yes I thought so!!! My daughter is expecting this week a baby and the baby will wear an amulet too!!

    it is usually put on a black cotton cord around the neck or arm
