Dear Samir; What a beautiful pair of fibulas. I have purchased some time ago in the souk of Tunis as well a pair of such fibulas... I have posted them on this site together with some other Tunisian items. Congratulations on these fibulas! Peter
Beautiful pair of Fabulae. They look very much like those from LIBYA. Fairly similar design and engravings. Do they have any official hall marks on the back side??, which may indicate the age?? and place of crafting??. Congratulations on this beautiful set.
Below , is a similar fibula which was purchased about two years ago from JERBA. Hall marks on the back show that they were crafted in Tunisia, with Turkish Tughra inscribed and old technique of decoration showing that the set is quite old.
