  • Sarah, these are interesting shapes, like the suits of playing cards. I have a Tuareg pendant that displays card suit shapes , clubs, hearts, spades, etc. in it. Evidently this was a very popular design in the Saharan pieces. And playing cards a very popular activity. I will post a pic of it if I haven't already.
  • These pieces come from the Saharwi region. ie Layounne. The pendants are just like spades and clubs from a deck of cards, I wonder if there is other signifigance....I feel a quest coming together!
