beautiful is this from djerba?
This is crafted in Tripoli in 1971-72. It was made by the mother to her daughter for wedding. It is in pure gold. It was crafted in Tripoli, with a lot of filigree and gold lire's. The piece is being kept in the family for the daughter. Thanks for the interest
was this made by jewish artisans?
No this was done by a national Libyan but not a jewish. The date of this was 1971 which was years after the jewish master smiths have stopped this work in Tripoli.
There are other pieces however that were made by jewish artisans but they are getting less and less common as they are quite old in time. But some still pop-up from time to time.
