Sarah, what can you tell me about these belts? I happened across one not long ago and think they are beautiful.

There are some other shots of this one on the forum.
The beads used in this example are c 1910 but have been woven later. The belt has a selection of brocades imported from the east and therefore exotic and decadent in Morocco.

Thanks Sarah. The one I have is not in as good a condition as this one, is not on brocade, but has wonderful beadwork and many more, but smaller poms.
I also have a couple of be beadwork sections alone which would make wonderful costume pieces.
I was very lucky to find this one in such good condition.
