  • Is this the style of the Draa valley? I have made a trip there long ago, before I got married. I loved it! I have not seen such jewellery, but it is great. I bought a pair of Fibulae in Ouarzazate or Zagora, but later I lost them. Her jewellery must be worth a fortune, all these amber and silver pieces and probably heavy too. But she looks gorgeous.
  • My favorite berber lady. She has deep set, dark eyes and a wonderful long face and she's wearing niello silver pendants and hirzes and amber and seed beads and a horned headdress and it looks like earrings with old square red glass and a wonderful cape. Her face is what is so wonderful about her, she is wise and sees the future.
  • I am so sorry but i can not refrain from adding my two cents each time there is something related to morocco.

I beg to differ here regarding the orgin of this lady who is proudly wearing jewelry from south west morocco (western anti atlas) and not the draa valley

I am sure that SARAH was misled by the label of the picture

Indeed the norned headress adds a wonderful  Staue-of-liberty feeling. Doesn't it?

    Best wishes

  • must admit these are still as labelled when I saved them from the web...uploaded this one without checking.

And yes anti Atlas would have been my thought here.
