  • EXCELLENT. I don't think you had ever shown me these. (I don't mean you should have done!) Very glad to see such quality!
  •  I showed another pair on the last posting that was sold to the same client. These are really the high standard of Indonesian gold jewerly to own a pair of these. Hard to find and not on the open market but through  aristocratic families  and collectors their owning them in Indonesia.  These in person were exceptional.
  • To my mind they are a top-class item. Finely done, but strong, without being "loud" or over the top. Very good taste and workmanship.
  • I love these every time I come past them - and then comment. Hence this is the third time. Fantastic stuff.
  • Do you like these best of the three pairs?  I am between this pair and the other pair with the  cloudband cartoosh of granulation.  These were more beautiful in person also.
  • I'd really have to look closely and preferably see them side by side. There was another pair which I also remember as very beautiful, and I am not sure whether I didn't even prefer that - but these are also great. Incidentally: MAKASSAR or MACASSAR, not "Mikasar" (I think you got it right elsewhere). I think I put another pair on our EJ&A page. Incidentally, you and I would like these (yet) more than many other people, as we look so much for the quality of the workmanship. I always notice on EJ&A that the greatest applause and joy seems to be be reserved for highly colourful pieces. (Which you and I also like for that matter.)
  • THREE pairs - that complicates one's choice? Anyway, I have commented wherever I saw good ones of this kind - don't know now whether I have seen all three! All great, indeed.
