This is one of those things that the silver dealer will say is Tunisian, but I actually suspect this to be of Libyan origin. Anyone???

Seems to be tunisian.......no visible tripoli hallmarks.

The bigger ones were said to come from Kerkennah islands off the tunisian coast but this one seems to be not as big!!

Thanks again! There do not seem to be any visible hallmarks anywhere on this piece. I have a book that shows a similar bracelet, but instead with 6 divisions. The one in my book is identified as being from Sfax, but I don't know if the book means that they were worn in Sfax or made there. I found this bracelet in the Tunis medina, but all sorts of things show up there (as you can imagine), so one is not always sure of the origin of some things. I have not been to the Kerkennah islands, so this is very interesting information! Much obliged!
