I absolutely love this! It looks like the bottom opens up to reveal a compartment in the other photo; what would have been kept there?

This is in my opinion the most fantastic piece. this was used to keep prayers. It belonged to a Raja and in the family for hundreds of years. I know the family but can not say who it was.
