I have some black beads just like these that I picked up in "treasure bowls" in various jewelry stores all over Morocco. Mine are all glass, rather like the semi-translucent white "moon" beads but black.

The black beads here don`t look all that shiny so perhaps these are jet (sometimes alled black amber).

This is my first Moroccan jewelry bought in Paris at Argana 30 years ago.
I think the balls are black bakelite or coral
