‘Tören kostümü’ (Parade/ceremonial costume) in Syrian/Arabic style. From: Gaziantep-town. Mid-20th century. Trousers, long shirt, bodice and hat are embroidered (silk on cotton); the red 'aba' (vest) is woven in kilim-technique (wool and metallic thread). (Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium). (SOLD to the ‘Etnografisch Museum, Antwerpen’, as a full costume).
