Dear Betty; This is a fantastic ring! I just looove the colorful stones! I am sure that it looks great when worn albeit most probably a bit heavy?... With kind regards. Peter
Thank you Peter. I do not have many such colourful pieces, but this I liked. Not even that heavy, just a bit to large for me. I wear it with small simple band ring inside. Kind regards, Betty
I like this one, Betty! The yellow stones are interesting. You don't often see them in Pashtun jewellery. But they do feature in Baluchi pieces. And Baluchi territory stretches across southern Afghanistan and northern Pakistan. Is there a chance that this is a Baluchi ring?
Thank you, Thelma. An expert on another forum actually confirmed their Pashtun origin, but I suppose it may be a piece from a region with Baluchi influence. I am sadly all but an expert when it comes to this type of jewelry... I just loved the cheerful colours. Good silver, too and a wonderful patina.
This is a fun one.
