Tuareg bracelets

A Tuareg Anklet/ Bracelet

This is a rare, powerful and iconic piece of jewellery.

A high silver, bold and imposing design.

Solid and heavy with flared finials and etched décor, the style of this piece is related to Ghanaian gold jewellery.

The high grade of silver (850 + parts per 1000) and the weight of this piece are an indication of their use as a store of wealth.

A similar piece can be seen here in the collection of the MET museum.
