Peter there is a near identical pair in the Publication "The Splendours of Ethnic Jewellery" on page 118. There are many online references to these bracelets. All reference these to Oman. This link takes you to a pair at the British Museum. (If you would like more cross references, just let me know. These are a great pair and I have been looking for a pair that will fit me, but alas they are all too small.
Many thanks for your background information. I have visited Oman about 5 or 6 times and I have never come across these. That means that they must be rare. When I travel to Oman, I am devoting 80% of my time chasing jewelry...
