  • Never seen before (this type of bracelets and ring from Mali), but nice and interesting! Is it silver or a mix? I just asked my (Malian) husband,  he was not sure, but thinks it is Peul (Fulani).  Do you know if this is correct?

  • My first reaction to this is that it is contemporary but in a rendition of a traditional style.  Normally this style of bracelet to my knowledge would never be silver and the older pieces are bronze or brass  I have seen examples of similar designs in a more traditional body shape and drawing style.. I'm not 100% sure but my gut says so. ?

  • I second linda. old examples were made in bronze and do come from the dogons or the lobi in burkina.
