Blessed Sandal

This sandal is made of silver, it used to be a part of a necklace. I've bought it in Luxor, Egypt.According to seller's description, this is Fatima's sandal, but I am wondering if this can be Blessed Sandal of Muhammad? Anyway, I think it is quite interesting, I haven't seen anything like this.

  • Dear Dagmara, it's a lovely little sandal. What are the dimensions? I haven't seen one like this before.

  • Well, usually there is no occurence in the traditions of a Fatima's sandal. At the contrary the prophet's sandal is a highly revered symbol, treated almost like a relic!

Very interesting to see this example, so far i have only knew of tuareg people engraving a sandal on one of their pendants: that being the only occurence of this symbol in jewelry that i know of!
