You have such exciting beads (like black chevron I have never seen these, is there an age to them, or are they newly made a version on the blue ones, I love the matching beads to go with it. Fantastic sense of color combination you have and many of your necklaces so original. Beautiful full Kathleen. Gr. Ingrid.
I do see that you used two locks instead of eye and lock. Do you have a reason for that?
The black chevron beads of this type are antique Venetian beads. The black is actually very dark brow. these are rare and wonderful chevrons.
less common than the blue chevrons from Venice
In fact all of the red white and black glass beads in this necklace are lovely!
Absolutely gorgeous Kathleen - and yes very hard to find black/red and white chevrons.
Thank you Sarah, I was curious if they were antique or new. Sofar I haven.t seen one I'll be on the look-out. Kathleen has combined them so well do you think that the flat ones are also old ?
Also Venician I suppose?
yes also Venetian.
