Dry heat, no air. Far away thunder grumbling, black horizon, a shift in the air. Gusts of wind bringing the smell of earth, the smell of rain. The first drops hitting the dry ground so hard that little dust puffs are forming. More and more dust puffs, a strong wind, and you can smell the earth’s sigh of relief.      Nice! It reminds me somehow of Aborigine art and their customs (didgeridoos, raindance, Australia).

    And thanks again, Eva!  It could have been Australian, you're right, but this particular one is a childhood memory of rain storms in South Africa.
