  • Good one! Noone else to comment??

  • Yes, beautiful belt! Love the multi coloured enamel in combination with the gilding.

  • Gorgeous. Is that blue or violet enamel? Violet seems so unusual.

  • I don't have this now but I believe it was not royal blue but a kind of dark purple.

  • I have experimented with the colour a bit in photoshopping, and there is no doubt in my mind that its colour is indeed in essence purple, for even with some modification it remains that, and if you turn it too much towards blue the other colours go foul, which seems to me to indicate that the purple is inherent (not a result of your getting the colours wrong, Linda). And what a beautiful range of colours this fantastic piece has! I can understand Frankie wondering!

  • Thanks Linda and Joost - now I know. Amazing colours. i have never seen such together before!
