colourful necklaces worn everyday in Sarawak -these were seen around the neck of a Kelabit cafe owner in Bario, a north Sarawak village where they live in longhouses, grow rice and pineapples, with an airstrip in this jungle mountain area.
the beads are a mixture of old traded heirloom beads and recent versions made in Java.
