Back of Moroccan panel

This shows the BACK of the Moroccan panel of which I posted the FRONT the day before: see my photos to find that image. The FRONT has been much discussed. I have been asked to upload an image of the BACK and am happy to deliver. I have three photos, and this is definitely the best. The "muck" which looks whitish about two-thirds of the way down on the right is old paper - the remnant of some ticket or other. Other variations of the colour are "genuine" though perhaps exaggerated by the photo. There is no doubt that the back is high quality silver according to expert assessment (i.e. not just the subjective view of the Daalders). There is also a thick layer of genuine patination and clear evidence of wear. (For the front of this piece go to https://ethnicjewels.ning.com/photo/enamelled-moroccan-panel)

  • I have found a good photo of the back of the Moroccan panel under discussion and have posted it. I notice in looking a second time that in addition to fragments on paper on the right (well down) there are also remnants of a sticker almost half way down the middle. The rest all appears to be used silver.
