This is spectacular. I think there is one i the Tiskiwin Museum like this.
yes it is beautiful. i dont know this museum.i have another one in algeria with many keys and pendents on it. verry old. it is some piece a like to keep. the customs in the airport will take it from me for sure if they see it
The museum is in Marakech and contains some wonderful Saharan pieces. Is it illegal to take artifacts and old jewelry out of Algeria?
I just added the Tuareg key from the Tiskiwin for your viewing pleasure. https://ethnicjewels.ning.com/photo/tuareg-key-from-the-tiskiwin-museum
thank you patricia, i didn t know before about this museum.yes it is almost semilar. we call this symbole " Tamanrasset key " but it is made in differents places in sahara.in mali, niger sometimes mauritania too
i like it a lot
ooooh yes, it is illegal to take old artifacts from algeria. items like this is normaly ok but in the entrance to the airport, there is in each door 3 plicemen and every bag goes under a scanner.they got instructions to stop all what verry old and archeologic found is. thoes policemen are not verry good informed and not good schooled about this things.so any thing looks not new, they stop the persone and call customs and chefs.if you are lucky you take your things and fly. if not ,you have to leave it and buy new ticket ( they keep you hours ) and in same cases when it is archeological found , they take people to the prison. in this case i agree with
