I think that these bracelets, from India, very used when "baba cool" "hippie" period (in the 60's-70's ...) are red because of henna ......

I love this one, but alas (problems with inches & diameter ....) it doesn't fit my wrist !! :-(
I have or had a very simplified version of this in the form of two thin bangles from India. Both ivory? and rubbed with this red henna inside. This one is just wonderful!
