Nice ring Timbuktu Gallerie. If I am right, this ring is a bit of history. When the Italians came into Ethiopia, they changed the Ethiopian currency into the Italian, good deal for them, the Ethiopians coins were silver and the Italian nickel. So my question is what is the material of the coin? Just to confirm this infomation I was told while living in Ethiopia. Gr. Ingrid.
Hi Ingrid, very interesting bit of history, I believe it is old silver or at least that is what I was told when I got it but I have not tested it. I will have to do some more research into it. I have been planning on buying some acid to test with but I believe it leaves a mark. I will look into it and see what I can find. :)
I will let you know what I find out. Good to know which it is :) thank you.
Hi Ingrid, Found this ring with the same eagle coin, they also described it as silver. I still must test mine to see. :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400092339532?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649...
