Thanks Toya! These types of head ornaments are actually quite scarce, haven't seen that many for sale in the markets or anywhere for that matter. I am looking at it again and think that one could actually wear it as a sort of necklace or choker. There are strings on both sides of the piece.

Most unusual. I think it might be easier to wear this pretty piece as a choker. Or perhaps the delicate dangles were intended as a sort of veil?
The dangles were indeed intended as a sort of veil and thus only worn on special events, most likely on the wedding day.
