thanks, They are probably 50's or 60's could be earlier but not by much.
I would agree, LInda: 50s-60s - unlikely to be much earlier. But they are beautifully made, and actually interesting in part because they differ from earlier examples. I personally find the blue just a trifle to light and sharp to my taste, but it is still very fine, even so.
You can definatly see a difference in color and workmanship on these from earlier examples I have had how ever these are still quite good by comparison to the newer ones I have seen for sale.
They are actually quite wonderful, Linda - objectively as good, I think, as earlier pieces, so my comment on the blue is not in any way meant to distract from the merit of this pair. I re-posted them on our EJ&A Facebook page, and they immediately attracted a lot of praise and attention. Superbly made and very beautiful.
