    mostly Aures region until oulad Nail

  • The piece on the bottom left has a small, worn hole and across the central hole, there is great wear.  There was a pin there at one point.  I seem to recall having seen a photo of an Algerian woman wearing one in her head turban, possibly Oulad Nail?

  • they are 100 % fibulas,

    yes Hillary oulad nail, chawi, all the aures even in saoura. the sample is not everywhere the same but the use is the same. the kabyl have also some, with coral, enamel or plain silver

    we find them in tunisia and lybia too
