  • Very nice akha button collection.  I appreciate the rudimentary clasps on the back side of similar pieces.    I have quite a few in my collection.  A couple of interest are a matching set of three, small, med. lg.  First and only match I have ever seen also A few small buttons in an oval shape.  My wife and I each regularily wear large akha buttons as a necklace.  Of all the tribal jewelry we have worn and showed, I get 10x the compliments of its beaty compared to other more intricate, complex pieces.  IJust started looking at this web site.  Where has it been?  I have been looking for something like this for years.  My primary focus of my collection is the hilltribe and lowland silver of Lao.  I will post some pics soon.
  • Hi Rusty, and Welcome - I too am attracted by the practical yet, artistic quality of these!  I have yet to design a necklace with these - on my list to do...would love to see yours and your wife's.  I have npt seen a matched set!
