great find sarah,
this is the only triangular fibula where the pin is attached to the corner of the triangle. all the other berber fibulas have it on of the three sides.
The thing that makes this fibula very special is that is not used to fasten the robe on the shoulders, it is used by daddes valley women (oasis dwellers) as a forehead ornament
i shall find a photo with one woman wearing it and post it later
i just added a picture of a woman wearing a smaller version of this fibula on her forehead (actually on a an elaborate head setting)
