A torque from Swat, Pakistan

A Swat, Pakistan torque. From the Pashtun people. With many Afghan coins from the 1920s-1930s in 50% silver. The body of the torque in similar alloy. With incredible engraving and many symbolic designs. Mid 20th century, over 600 grams.

    Lynn, a beautiful example of this type of torque. Is this the one you spoke of earlier .. you were mending one, I think. I love the delicate arrangement of the glass stones at the front.

    Dear Thelma, thank you for your kind comments.  Yes, this is it.  It had been put in "silver dip" by a previous owner and rendered completely devoid of any detailing or depth.  I put the patina back on it and replaced missing stones.
