  • What beautiful silver work. I have never seen  anything like these before. What details. Do you think they could be used as bracelets?  Why not? Just stunning.

  • Fine work!
  • I'm in love! These bracelets are gorgeous! Are they heavy?

  • Extremely beautiful. The scrolling flowers remind me of Indian patterns. There is an anklet on p.272 of Oppi Untracht's book 'Traditional Jewelry of India' which has a similar scrolling pattern but not, in my opinion, so fine as the one above.

  • You are right about the Indian influence, Thelma. It is well known that Indian jewelers did work in Oman, and the basic shape of these anklets is actually Indian, with elements of the decoration Indian in character too. Your reference to Untracht's great book is very much to the point.
