To document this further, James: the best material on this type from the several Naga books which we have is to be found in Somare-Vigorelli, *The Nagas: Disciplined Forms of Beauty* (1992), p. 132, where a similar but even more refinedly decorated example is shown. This is an arm ornament from the Phek District (Nagaland), Chakhesang area. In the making the lost wax method was used, and the material is described as "burined copper alloy". The bracelet is further described as follows: "The braclet is engraved with a technique similar to that of tattoos. This kind of bracelet is used by men and women alike, and worn with the ends turned backwards." I agree with Linda that you've got a very good piece!
